t:slim X2 Insulin Pump with Basal-IQ Technology
*FINAL SALE ITEM*
The t:slim X2 Insulin Pump truly sets itself apart from other CGM systems due to its innovative Basal-IQ Technology. Diabetic insulin pump therapy stabilizes blood sugar by supplying insulin under the skin.
The fear of going low can get in your way when life gets busy. Tandem's Basal-IQ predictive low-glucose suspend technology can help you spend less time worrying about blood glucose lows and more time living your life.
RESPONSIVE INSULIN DELIVERY
Basal-IQ® technology predicts and helps prevent low levels. It can turn insulin delivery on and off as often as every 5 minutes. There is no minimum insulin suspension period.
WORKS SILENTLY IN THE BACKGROUND
No added alerts or alarms beyond standard continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and pump notifications. The user must only decide if they want the feature turned on or off.
How it works
Basal-IQ technology uses the Dexcom G6 CGM values to help reduce the frequency and duration of low level glucose events by predicting the glucose levels 30 minutes before and delaying insulin if they are expected to drop lower than 80 mg/dL or if a CGM reading falls below 70 mg/dL. The insulin delivery continues as soon as sensor glucose values start to rise.
